Account Information

• Your name, email address, and profile picture provided by Google or Apple when you sign in via OAuth.
• A unique nickname (3–15 characters) and country you provide during onboarding.
• Your user ID generated by Firebase Authentication.

Gameplay Data

• Challenges you create or join, including task names, durations, and participants.
• Task completion records and associated point scores.
• Item drops received, item usage events, and their effects on other players.
• Leaderboard rankings and challenge results.
• In-challenge chat messages and activity feed entries.

Device & Usage Information

• Device type, operating system version, and app version.
• IP address and general geographic region (country-level).
• App usage patterns collected via Firebase Analytics (screen views, session duration, feature engagement).
• Crash reports and performance data collected via Firebase Crashlytics.

Push Notification Tokens

• Your device's push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) if you grant notification permissions, used solely to send you challenge updates and alerts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your account.
• Run the core challenge and gameplay features, including leaderboards and item systems.
• Send push notifications about challenge activity (task completions, item uses, results).
• Improve the app's performance, stability, and features using aggregated, anonymised analytics data.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• Provide customer support when you contact us.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We share data only in the following circumstances:

• With other Challeng'em users: Your nickname, country, challenge stats, and leaderboard rank are visible to participants of the same challenge. Your email address is never shown to other users.
• With service providers: We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions) to operate the app. Firebase's data processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen, which will permanently delete your personal data and gameplay history within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase Security Rules, HTTPS encryption in transit, and Firebase App Check to protect your data. However, no digital system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Challeng'em is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
• Objection / Restriction: Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
